An electronics OEM turned to Severna Operations to create their custom phenolic spacer board. They provided a 2D CAD Drawing with tight tolerance requirements and secondary custom work holding features. The finished piece would measure 1.25”x .50” x .031”.
Severna’s large inventory and expert machinists worked on the HAAS CF Vertical Machining Center to complete the product in two steps: hole drilling, then mill profiling. We also included custom tooling services for the work holding fixtures on the piece.
We maintained tight tolerances of ±.0005” throughout the process and performed a 100%-dimensional inspection of each part to ensure compliance and quality.
